Hello, you can use {{#babel:nso-3}} (and even for example {{#babel:nso-3|account MetaWiki}} which will take the box from Template:User account MetaWiki). That way you don't have to create each user language template. SPQRobin 17:59, 11 Dibatsela 2011 (SAST)[reply]

Let me add that if you want to use more then one template in one box, you can use {{#babel:nso-3|en-2|zu-1}} and so on. You can translate the name of "Category:Babel - Users by language" on translatewiki:MediaWiki:Babel-footer-url/nso. If the user boxes should link to the babel categories, this can be requested in Bugzilla. --MF-Warburg 21:30, 11 Dibatsela 2011 (SAST)[reply]

Any pages missing?

[edit source]

Hi Mohau, have you noticed if any pages were not imported from Incubator to here? I'll import them then. --MF-Warburg 18:30, 12 Dibatsela 2011 (SAST)[reply]

How about it?

Adminship

[edit source]

So, since your adminship will expire soon, I think that you should create a "Requests for adminship" and nominate yourself if you want to continue. If it's sucessful, it will be permanent adminship. Ebe123 13:45, 2 Manthole 2011 (SAST)[reply]

Hi! Can you help me to translate this article? Thanks! Vitor Mazuco (talk) 14:09, 25 Phupu 2012 (SAST)[reply]

Your temporary access has expired

[edit source]
Hello, the temporary access you requested on this wiki has expired. Just to let you know that If you want it back, feel free to make a local announcement and open a new request on stewards' permission request page on Meta-Wiki later. Moreover, if you think the community is big enough to elect a permanent administrator, you can place a local request here for a permanent adminship, so stewards can grant you the permanent access. Please ask me or any other steward if you have any questions. Thank you! Trijnstel (talk) 18:34, 14 Lewedi 2012 (SAST)[reply]

Article translation/collaboration request

[edit source]

Hi Mohau, how are you? Mate, I am trying to find an editor/s who can help by translating User:Russavia/Polandball into Northern Sotho. I am wondering if we could make a collaborative trade?

If you could translate that article into Northern Sotho for me, I would be happy to upload approximately 50 South African aviation photos to Commons from amongst the 200,000 I have permission to upload. I have uploaded a number of photos already to give you a brief idea of what I can upload, and I am keeping a gallery at User:Russavia of photos uploaded.

Would you be interested in such a collaborative "trade"? Do let me know, either by responding here, or on my talk page, or by emailing me. Cheers, Russavia (talk) 16:16, 22 Lewedi 2012 (SAST)[reply]

Hi Mohau I see that someone has been checking through the articles on the Northern Sotho Wikipedia and recommending that some articles be deleted. He does not like the nuclear article nor the one on the City of Tshwane language policy. Perhaps we need to redraft these articles. Ngoato.

Your temporary access is going to expire soon

[edit source]
Hello, you were granted temporary adminship in this wiki which is going to expire in a few days. Just to let you know that if you want to continue as an administrator here, you need to request an extension on stewards' permission request page on Meta-Wiki. Usually you only have to make a local announcement on your local village pump or request for adminship page, and if there are no objections after no less than three days, your request will be fulfilled. Additionally, if you think the community is big enough to elect a permanent administrator, you can place a local request here for a permanent adminship, so stewards can grant you the permanent access. Please ask me or any other steward if you have any questions. Thank you! MarcoAurelio (talk) 19:59, 3 Moranang 2015 (SAST)[reply]

Ready for translation: Editing News #1—2017

[edit source]

Hi! This is an invitation to join translators working on the upcoming issue of the multilingual newsletter for the visual editor, which will be widely delivered when it's end of Friday in Central Europe, and that features, among other things, rumours about a much-desired syntax highlighting tool... Thanks for your help with this, it feels great to be back. --Elitre (WMF), 19:27, 8 Mopitlo 2017 (SAST)[reply]

PS: Here are some instructions. Please go to the translation page: your language should be available from the drop-down menu on the right. Once you've selected it, you'll see the document in English side by side with any translation work already done in your language. You can add new translations or modify existing ones. Please let us know about difficulties you experience with the translation memory system.

Some of the upcoming changes

The Editing team is nearly finished with this first phase of the Talk pages project. Nearly all new features are available now in the Beta Feature for Discussion tools.

It will show information about how active a discussion is, such as the date of the most recent comment. There will soon be a new "Lokela sererwa" button. You will be able to turn them off at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing-discussion. Please tell them what you think.

Daily edit completion rate by test group: DiscussionTools (test group) and MobileFrontend overlay (control group)

An A/B test for Discussion tools on the mobile site has finished. Editors were more successful with Discussion tools. The Editing team is enabling these features for all editors on the mobile site.

New Project: Edit Check

The Editing team is beginning a project to help new editors of Wikipedia. It will help people identify some problems before they click "Publish changes". The first tool will encourage people to add references when they add new content. Please watch that page for more information. You can join a conference call on 3 March 2023 to learn more.
