The Hungarian text supplied with the picture (about the “Old Mosque” is wrong. Selimiye Mosque in Edirne. It is the masterpiece of Sinan, the greatest architect of his period. We see an outer gate to the gardens, and in the background the northern side of the courtyard. Magyar: A képhez mellékelt magyar szöveg (a „Régi mecsetről”) hibás. Selimiye mecset Edirne-ben. Ez Sinan, kora legnagyobb építészének remekműve.Dosseman (bolela) 11:03, 21 February 2024 (UTC)(Eski Mecset). A felvétel 2014. október 22-én, szerdán készült. Edirne, Törökország. Nagymecset. A Nagymecsetet 1414 januárjában szentelték fel. Alapjait Suleyman Celebi rakatta le, majd az építkezést testvérei, Musa Celebi, később Mehmet Celebi folytatta. Az építész Haci Alaaddin, segédje Omer Bin Ibrahim volt. A minaretet Murad szultán idején (1421 – 1448) építették.
